Nearly one year to the day since we discovered this beautiful wine in a little seafood restaurant in Venice. And now, finally, it has arrived at Renegade. It’s made from the antique varietal Isterien Malvoise (D’Agata’s Native Wine Grapes of Italy has an comprehensive article on this varietal) on the island of San Erasmo in the middle of the Venice lagoon. High in mineral content, with bright salinity, but also a nice rich core that pairs well with seafood.
